OXFORD AND DISTRICT CHESS LEAGUE 2007-2008

As some of you may have heard, MCS has joined forces with North Oxford (formerly Blackbird Leys Chess Club, with whom JFP played before forming the MCS teams in the ODCL). The new team, called 'MCS Blackbirds' will play in Division 4 and Division 2. Club and match nights will now be on TUESDAY evenings: regular players are asked to keep this day free. When there are not matches, a club night will run from 7pm to 9pm, during which there will be on-going internal tournaments and coaching from adults. It is hoped that all older players (11+) will find this an exciting new venture.
