The normal course is 4.4 miles, and circles Chilton anti-clockwise. The short course is 3.2 miles and the 'mini' course 2.1 miles. All of them start by heading behind the Gemini building, past the library gate and past Diamond, staying on the grass east of the Diamond pond. The courses finish the same way. The mini course does not go onto the public road by the garden centre exit: instead, follow the path round inside the fence and turn up the avenue of trees past Chilton School. Runners on the 'normal' and 'short' courses should turn sharp left here onto the road, and head for the A34 underpass.
All courses have a mixture of grass, tracks and tarmac.
The routes given here are partly on private UKAEA land. This map does not imply a right of public access.
